to scout around, get stands up and be ready for the start of bow season...
I was excited to get out and do my first season with my new bow and my
goal was to take a doe to help reduce the population...
I started trying to do self filming but half way through the season
I gave it up due to missing a couple opportunities because I was
messing with the camera...After 80+ hours in a tree and blind I finally
was successful and took down the doe below...

After this I had a couple weeks before gun season started...The 2nd
week of the gun season I walked into this guy as I was going into my
stand one night...He was a 6 pointer and weighed out at 143 lbs...

10 days later my cousin had this 11 point brute walk in
from behind him as we were doing a drive...

In between these we also got a 4 pointer, so overall it was a
great season...Some of the deer we had pictures of on trail cameras mostly
during the rut were...

Once the season was over for me, I had 2 months before I had
to go back to work so the only thing left for me to do was to
work more on the house...I figured to do the bathroom and start
tearing it down...Once that was done I figured I could then plan
out the new bathroom layout...
Unfortunately my "go-getting" attitude kicked in and what started
as just the bathroom ended with the whole upstairs being torn down
to studs...And then insulated the whole upstairs...
The old bathroom/hallway...

Uncle Bob's room and closet...

Uncle Dick's room and closet...
Dad's room and closet...
Storage closet...
While tearing the closet apart, I found some of dads 1st art work...
Once I was done upstairs I gave my grandmothers combo
oven/woodstove to my cousin...Which then revealed that
there was a lot more cold air coming into the kitchen then
I thought...
Sooooooooooooooo............the kitchen was next to be demo'd...
Along with the kitchen the laundry also got done...
I still had some cold air coming from the floor (which is directly on
a slab of concrete) so I laid down some blue foam to help...
In between all this work and hunting I went out to see the
girls a few times...They are growing up way too fast...Anise
started kindergarten and Brie started pre-school...
The girls also went to Disney in Oct for Mickeys Not-So-Scary
Halloween party and they had a ball...
So now its time to go back to work and recuperate and
get readu for the summer time when itll be time to start
putting in the new garage and start putting the house
back together...
Happy 2017!!
